Well, 2010 started with its usual resolutions, including "get more organized". Is this on everyone's list? So far we've cleaned up and (re-)organized our den/learning area, the pantry/laundry room, and a few kitchen cabinets. We've tossed a lot of stuff we just didn't need and have a carload of other stuff to go to Goodwill.
I've made the resolution to start texting which means I'll have to change my mobile account and get a different mobile phone. This will come by spring.

We are fortunate to have a (free), all day Project WILD workshop on Friday, Feb. 12 at the County Extension Office here in Huntsville. The office is right off I-565 so it's easy to find. Check out the Project WILD website to see what a great free resource this is for us: www.projectwild.com If you can attend, email me (kristen@lindelowkoon.com) to get on the list. We still have some openings!

Huntsville's Homescshool Prom is coming soon: Saturday, March 27.
More on this wonderful event soon!

Jae's Space

We had a great day today at Game Day! The kids played and the moms (and dad) worked on our upcoming schedule. We have lots of upcoming events. Watch the "Events" area at the top of the page! February 12th at 1pm we will have our Valentine Party at Redeemer Church. I am going to try to get us an appointment at Build a Bear in Huntsville for the 19th. I will be out of town on the 26th for Peter Pan at the BJCC. Upcoming for March: 101 Dalmations / Aristocats at the Shoals Theater, ice skating in Huntsville, and a craft day. We have several other ideas in the works but we need your ideas! We want to offer our kids a variety of opportunities. Please give feedback with any suggestions. Thanks.
We are having a blast with this crazy "Fun Friday" idea. We are determined to do something fun every Friday this year. Perhaps you are not up for "every" week but when you see something you think your kiddos would like - jump in.
Come and join us - the more the merrier.

101 Dalmatians / Aristocats

Ok. Bad news. There will not be a school performance of 101 Dalmatians / Aristocats. They will have the nightly shows Mar 11-13th at 7:30 which we will most probably not attend. There is also a Sunday performance (March 14th) at 2pm. We will go to this one. Do you guys still want me to get a group for the Sunday showing? I will arrange it if others want to join us. This is at the Shoals Theater in Florence. $10 for adults $8 for students.

Build a Bear

Anyone else interested in Build a Bear? We need a basic number before setting it up. We need at least 6 for a "party"? The probable date / time is Friday, February 19th at noon at the Huntsville Parkway Mall. Please let me know.

Huntsville Valentine's Party

Would anyone in Huntsville be interested in a Valentine's party? If so, I'll see if I can set something up at the skating rink or Sci-Quest or somewhere else if anyone has a suggestion.

Fun Friday?

Well, here it is, another week that I have slacked. Last week Mamie was iffy sick and this week I have her left overs. Not feeling too bad but lots of congestion. Also, I may or not have my car on Friday because my husband's truck is in the shop. So, again, playing it by ear. If you guys want to get together, we will make it if possible. But, I didn't want to schedule something and not think we would make it. I am going to try so hard to have something next week and Valentine's party will be on… Continue

Valentine's Day

Hi, all! Are we doing anything for Valentine's Day? Just wondering... :) My kids talked me into buying them EACH a box of Valentine's the other day at the Dollar Tree - even though the only people they have to exchange them with are their penpals and one another, lol! UNLESS we all meet up. I could bring cupcakes and cheese dip. ;)
